Your rehabilitation support
Once a wound or injury has healed, it is imperative that your horse begins a programme of physical exercise to build up the muscle, so they can work in their own space with self carriage and confidence.
This exercise may be static (such as physical manipulation and stretches) or dynamic (lunging, long reining, pole work) and will most likely be a combination of both. Our Equine Therapist offers a range of treatments to help your horse. These services can be provided either on-site at our rehabilitation centre or at your yard as part of an ongoing programme when your horse has returned home.

Kazia's passion for fixing horses started at an early age when taking on difficult 'project' horses that needed rehabilitation - either physically or mentally - and helping those horses develop to find their true potential. A pattern that has continued through Kazia's adult life.
This desire to help horses lead Kazia to complete a BSc degree in Equine & Human Sport Science, followed by a post graduate diploma in McTimoney Animal Chiropractic and ultimately, to set up 'Kazia Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation' in 2007. Having skills in multiple therapies was important to Kazia, who uses a combination of treatments (see panel) when working on horses depending on what that individual needs. "Every horse is important to me. Whether I'm using my skills to rehabilitate injured and post operative horses or treating horses to maintain their form through a competitive career, I want every horse to be comfortable and happy in their job." |
" We pride ourselves on being able to offer your horse a range of treatments so their rehabilitation programme can be as individual as they are. When you book into Kazia Equine Rehabilitation, we will work with you and your vets to select exactly what they need. |
